Hans Christian Andersen is a very famous fariy tale writer. He worte 162 stroies and were translated into many different Lang.s :). He wrote The little mermaid, the ugly duckling and Thumbelina. :) On his birthday (April 2nd) is celebrated as "Children's International Book Day !"Andersen fell out of his bed in 1872 and died three years later with severly injured.
